Mullah Ubaidullah is leading the fight in southern Afghanistan

Mullah Ubaidullah Akhund is believed to be one of the few Taliban leaders to have direct access to Mullah Omar. He is also a member of the 10-man Taliban Shura Council. Knowing that....I highly doubt that he is directing the fight from Panjawiyi, Afghanistan, where all the action is going on. Most likely he is directing his fighters from across the border in North or South Waziristan.

There has been a surge in Taliban leaders/commanders deaths in recent weeks. Let's hope the US has a missile with his name on it!
